The closed cooling water heat exchanger is designed to cool water circulating in closed-loop systems. The cooled water is supplied to various cooling applications, including pumps and auxiliary equipment. In this system, closed cooling water flows through the shell side of the heat exchanger, while seawater or service water flows through the tube side to remove heat.
The heat exchanger is suitable for installation in power generation facilities, including thermal and nuclear power plants.
Vibration, stress, and fatigue analyses can be applied to ensure stable operation and structural reliability. Tube-to-tubesheet welding is available using materials such as stainless steel, titanium, and copper-nickel. Corrosion protection options for seawater environments include rubber linings, ceramic coatings, and glass flake coatings.
